Queerlings. We are making a difference! On campus I have personally heard the amazing feedback from people I have never met or would think would be touched by the UA: It Gets Better video that Guy Fauchon, David Kilgo, and our very own GingerQueer, Glenn Halcomb produced and of which I was SO proud to be a part. Now we have another chance. A financial chance.

My friends at Joe's in Seventh are hosting a benefit this weekend to benefit none other than the Trevor Project. Don't know what it is?

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.

This Saturday, Nov. 13, Joe's on Seventh will open their doors for a night of excellent performances by some of Birmingham's greatest performers including Cierra Symone Campbell, Connie Lingus, and the Orginal Sin, ObSINity. All you have to do is show up, get in the door, and the proceeds go straight to the cause. We are gaying it forward. You were there. I was there. We needed support and this can give that young person somehwere in the country the support they cannot find anywhere else.

Just by going out for a night of fun, you can bring a light to someone else's life. Why would you not go? Okay, the truth is I can't be there for a priorly scheduled job in Atlanta, but if YOU can be there then GO. You are a CampusQueer. Revel in the night knowing it's worth it on a whole new level. Be a part of the solution. RSVP NOW!

Over and Out,
CampusQueer
